Terms of Service

Welcome to ONYX (“the Bot”). By inviting, accessing, or using ONYX in a Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
You must meet Discord’s applicable minimum age requirements and any age requirements imposed by the laws that apply to you. Your use of ONYX must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
2. What ONYX does
ONYX provides community and server-management features that may include moderation commands, automated moderation, server logging, welcome and goodbye messages, self-assignable roles, role panels, leveling, custom commands, embed templates, and optional Last.fm integration. Features may change, be added, or be discontinued.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use ONYX to harass or threaten people, violate applicable law or Discord policies, abuse moderation tools, interfere with the Bot’s operation, bypass access controls, or attempt to compromise the Bot or its infrastructure.
4. Server owners and administrators
Server owners and administrators are responsible for configuring ONYX, assigning appropriate permissions, managing staff access, setting server rules, and deciding how moderation actions are used. Administrators should ensure that members are informed about relevant server practices, including logging.
5. Third-party services
ONYX may rely on third-party services, including Discord and, if enabled, Last.fm. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. ONYX is not responsible for third-party services or their availability.
6. Availability and changes
ONYX is provided on an “as available” basis. Continuous or error-free operation is not guaranteed. We may modify features, restrict access, or suspend or discontinue the Bot.
7. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, ONYX is provided without warranties of any kind. Automated moderation can make mistakes and may not detect every unwanted message or behavior. Server staff should review important moderation decisions.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operators of ONYX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Bot. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if continued operation is not practical. A server administrator may remove ONYX from their server at any time.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date will be shown above. Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes.
